What we collect on this website
- Your email address (needed to join the waitlist).
- Your shop name and kind of shop, if you choose to tell us.
- The date and time you signed up, and that you agreed to hear from us.
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics or scripts from other companies. To stop abuse of the form, our server keeps a scrambled (not readable) form of your connection’s address, with the times the form was sent from it, to limit how often the form can be sent.
Why we collect it
Only to tell you about Khokhela POS, for example when it is ready for you to try. We do not sell your details and we do not give them to anyone to advertise to you.
Where it is kept and how long
Your sign-up is saved on our own web server, in a file that is not reachable from the website. A copy of each sign-up is also emailed to our own inbox so we can reply to you. We keep your details until you ask us to delete them.
About the Khokhela POS app
This notice is about the website and the waitlist. For shops that use Khokhela POS:
- Sales are kept on the shop PC. Sales, stock and customer details are stored on the shop’s own Windows PC. If a till loses its connection, it keeps its sales and syncs them to the shop PC when it’s back online. We don’t receive a copy.
- Slips on WhatsApp. Only when the customer agrees, Khokhela opens WhatsApp on the till with the slip typed in, and the cashier presses send. The message goes from the shop’s own WhatsApp. Khokhela does not send it through any other service. A slip link, if included, has no name, phone number or invoice number in it, and stops working after a set number of days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, at any time. Call us on +27-21-910-1000 or write to us at the address above, and we will do it. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you think we have not looked after your details properly.
